Broseley's Birchmeadow is a much alive, well used events, community, and activity Centre. It's owned by the Town, and managed by an energetic and forward-moving Committee which works hard to make it an attractive venue for top quality live music, dances, amateur dramatics, and various other events. The Centre hosts several regular groups and activities, and is much used for Community events and activtities. Most of the Birchmeadow's rooms are available for both private and commercial hire. Atherstone Folk Club Meet every 3rd Wednesday in the month starting on 18 September 2013. Meetings will be held at the superb Chuch End Brewery at Ridge Lane, Nuneaton CV10 0RD, usually starting at about 8:15 pm and ending around 11 pm. We aim to have something for everyone; traditional, modern, shanties, comedy, dance and sessions just for musicians, so they don’t feel left out.
North Central Folk Dance and Song Group is part of the Camping and Caravanning Club Folk dance and Song Group. We are a friendly group of people who like dancing, music and chatting! We hold sociable camping events all year round. We usually have a village hall on site or nearby were we hold music and dance evenings.Sometimes the hall is open most of the day and we get together to play musical instruments, sing and dance. There can be folk song and dance workshops, beginner's dance workshops, craft activities, communal dinners, tea time socials, games and quizzes. In the summer months we often have activities outside .. communal barbecues, maypole dancing, morris dancing, music sessions, organised walks. In our group there are lots of friends to be made and there is nearly always something to do!
Folk at the Oak. The Royal Oak folk club at Tettenhall Wolverhampton everyTuesday welcome's all musical artists/Storytellers and singers , 8.30pm start. Free admission, all moneys raised goes to Breakthrough Breast cancer.
The Traditional Arts Team runs events in the Midlands relating to traditional song, music, storytelling and dance. It also publishes a monthly diary of folk and related activities.
