Chord charts for loads of songs THESE CHORD CHARTS give the chord changes for playing a large number of the most popular session tunes and songs. A wide variety of types of music are represented including Irish, English, Bluegrass, Oldtimey, New England, Scottish, Shetland and various others. These charts will be found useful for those attending music session and wishing to play along but not knowing the piece being played. The keys given here are the most commonly used for the named tune or song, but be warned, there can be considerable variation in the key actually used in sessions depending on local traditions and preferences. Tune versions are also subject to regional variability as well as the choices and interpretation made by the many and various musicians who transcribed these chord charts. We also have a second collection of chord charts HERE.

Each page has 4 or 5 charts on it. this is the first entry on page one.

D---|G-A-|D---|DAD-:||
the bars are separated with vertical lines | and the beats in the bar are represented by horizontal dashes - or a chord letter. So our first bar has 4 beats of D. The second bar has 2 of G the 2 of A and so on. This tune has 4 bars that are repeated as indicated by the :|| at the end of the line.

Some of the tunes have other notation to indicate changes in time signature etc but I hope these will be fairly self evident when you come to them.

The songs/tunes are arranged in alphabetical order, each line of titles is a link which will take you to the page with the charts for those tunes. You can skip forward or back pages by using the Previous or Next links or click on Contents to come back to this page.

If you would like a really huge collection of these chord charts Ryan Thomson (Captain Fiddle) does a 120 page book with charts for 1400 tunes.
